basic function

Initial positioning: after receiving the "torch lowering" signal from the cutting machine numerical control system (Start system) or the "positioning cycle start signal" from the system, the height controller controls the cutting torch to lower until the positioning switch is triggered, and then controls the cutting torch to rise to the set initial positioning height. After the positioning is completed, the height controller will send a signal of successful positioning

Mode 1: Use positioning to complete feedback and plasma power supply's successful arc initiation feedback After receiving the "cutting torch descent" signal from the CNC system (Stark system) of the cutting machine, the height controller first performs initial positioning. After completing the positioning, it sends a "positioning completion" signal to the system. The system ends the "cutting torch descent" and starts arc starting. After receiving the "arc starting success" signal from the plasma power supply, the system starts cutting. After the "automatic delay for height adjustment" (waiting for the arc voltage to stabilize), the system sends an "automatic" signal to the height controller, and the height controller starts to automatically adjust the cutting torch height based on the detected changes in arc voltage

Mode 2: Use positioning to complete feedback and provide successful arc initiation feedback for the height controller After receiving the "cutting torch descent" signal from the CNC system (Stark system) of the cutting machine, the height controller first performs initial positioning. After completing the positioning, it sends a "positioning completion" signal to the system. The system ends the "cutting torch descent" and begins to start the arc. After the height controller detects a relatively stable arc voltage signal, it sends a "arc initiation success" signal to the system, and the system starts cutting. After a "height adjustment automatic delay" (waiting for the arc voltage to stabilize), the system sends an "automatic" signal to the height controller. The height controller starts to automatically adjust the cutting torch height power signal based on the detected arc voltage changes


Mode 3: Feedback on arc initiation success without using positioning completion and height controller Some cutting machine CNC systems do not have the functions of detecting "positioning completion feedback" and "arc initiation success feedback". After receiving the "cutting torch descent" signal from the cutting machine CNC system, the height controller performs initial positioning during the "cutting torch descent delay" period. The "cutting torch descent delay" time is longer than the time required for initial positioning. After the system ends the "cutting torch descent delay", arc initiation and cutting begin. After the "automatic delay" (waiting for the arc voltage to stabilize), the system sends an "automatic" signal to the height controller, and the height controller starts to automatically adjust the cutting torch height based on the detected changes in arc voltage

When the controller is in automatic mode, the "set height" of the cutting torch and the "sensitivity" of the automatic height control can be adjusted through the knob
